Updated 8PM – fixed a bunch of annoying grammatical errors and such including Artaxerxes being a Persian king not Babylonian. I work a day job these posts are rushed at night sorry for the often initial grammatical errors! I do try and clean them up before I get to bed.
END OF TIMES COMMENTARY
Daniel’s 70 weeks of years is a key to when Christ will return on this earth to setup his 1000 year kingdom. But what are we talking about and how has it been solved? Daniel was an Old Testament prophet that lived in exile in Babylon during the entire 70 years of captivity. At the end of the 70 years and knowing of Jeremiah’s prophecy, he prayed to God to ask when he will deliver God’s people from out of captivity and back to Jerusalem. Finally Gabriel the angel came and spoke with him about the matter.
Most “scholars” read these chapters and state that these passages only pertain to Jerusalem and the crucifixion of Christ and the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem in the 7 years war from 63 – 70 A.D. by the Romans. And much of it certainly seems to fit and foretell of the destruction of the Temple. But it does not all fit that narrative so I am of the belief that it foreshadows the Temple’s destruction in 70 A.D. but it actually is indeed a prophecy for the end of times when Jesus the Messiah will come establish his 1000 year kingdom. Since that has not yet occurred, we must assume that the “70 weeks” is still running on a clock of God’s choosing that he kept hidden from us…until last year.
C.J. Lovik has unlocked the prophecy as in this video here.
From Daniel Chapter 9:
21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
Gabriel has come to answer Daniel’s heartfelt prayers of asking when the captivity will end and what is to be of the Jewish people. Gabriel answered:
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
The “Seventy weeks” is a biblical prophecy time that represents a “day for a year” or 70 weeks of 7 years = 490 years.
Gabriel is also describing what it will take for the Messiah to come and be anointed and thus start his 1000 year kingdom on earth which the Jews have always desired figuring they would be rulers with the promised Messiah upon the earth over all other nations. Remember this was many centuries before Christ was even born. So Gabriel is telling Daniel it will be quite a few centuries before the Messiah will come.
Gabriel is saying that basically Daniel’s people must stop sinning, must stop the transgressions against God, and to repent of their sins and get back with the covenant program that God desired for them to keep and to keep God’s word and turn away from evilness. Back to following the laws of Moses and righteousness. All those things are implied must occur first before the Messiah will initiate his 1000 year kingdom on earth.
“To seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy” refers to the end of times and the appearance of the Messiah and his promised 1000 year kingdom.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
The commandment to restore Jerusalem by the (now Persian) King Artaxerxes went out in 457 BC by most historical accounts and is described in the book of Ezra. And note the 70 weeks has now been divided up in time segments. The first seven weeks (49 years) refers to rebuilding of Jerusalem from the date of the decree that turned out to be amazingly prophetic as it took the Jews about 49 years to rebuild the city and get it functioning.
Then counting after the 7 weeks (49 years) add another 62 weeks (434 years) will indicate the time of the Messiah. It says “unto the Messiah the Prince”. So it does not point to a specific date such as birth or death but just saying that the Messiah will be here. It is after the 70th week (another 7 years) that the Messiah will establish his 1000 year earthly Kingdom.
The decree of Artaxerxes, thus the start point for counting of the 490 years as told by Gabriel, went out in the fall of 457 B.C. as C.J. Lovik postulates in his film here. I have postulated and picked a date of 28 November 457 B.C. for when the decree went out.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
It then says the Messiah will be “cut off” (crucified) and not for himself (but for all of us!) after 69 weeks (7 + 62) or 483 years. We have all been taught Jesus was crucified anywhere from AD 29 – AD 36. But I am going with both CJ Lovik’s date and Gabriel Ansley’s date of April 28th, 28 AD which is earlier than almost 100% of the “consensus”. (You didn’t think I’d go with the consensus did you?)
“The people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary”. The people refers to the followers of Satan. And yes, it also can be a dual prophecy and describe the Romans (who were of the devil also), but again the entire prophecy passage does not fit only into what happened in Roman times. Remember what all was to occur; “seal up the vision and prophecy” and “to anoint the most Holy”. These can only refer to anointing the Messiah as King of his promised 1000 year kingdom. Sealing up vision and prophecy indicates that the holy scriptures are finished playing out and all prophecies fulfilled. We are clearly talking about the end of times.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
The “he” is referring to the “Prince” in the previous verse which again is Satan, or more specifically the Antichrist as we now know. Verse 27 is describing the last week – the 70th week of 7 years – and what will happen. The Antichrist will make covenant – or join forces and promise riches to those earthly rulers who would fight for him (the Klaus Schwabs of the world) – for the 7 years. Thus this fits into my postulation that the Antichrist will be unleashed on this earth 7 years prior to the end of the 70th week. In the middle of the week (after 3 1/2 years) the abominations of desolations will occur in the Temple of Jerusalem. The Antichrist sets up a graven image in the Temple and demands all on earth worship it and him. This is the abomination.
“Even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate”. This is a foreshadow of the “pouring” of the 7 vials of God’s wrath that occurs in the latter chapters of the book of Revelation.
DISCUSSION
Now, again, you can read a zillion accounts on the internets of what this all means ( I provide but one such example in the attached PDF) but there has never been a satisfying account of the last weeks/week of the prophecy.
Indeed many have studied this for years but it was never meant to be solved until the “end of times” as mentioned in Daniel 12:4
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Daniel didn’t understand it and no one has until perhaps now. “And knowledge shall be increased“. This is clearly what is happening in my case. People are waking up and knowledge in increased and things are being revealed by God because he is warning the end is near!
I provide another strong clue that the Book of Daniel, and particularly this series of passages about the 70 weeks and abomination of desolations, was referring to the end of times and not just what was happening in Daniel’s times. For even Jesus Christ himself referred to Daniel’s vision in Matthew 24:12
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
And then Jesus goes on to describe what will happen before his return. I won’t repeat all the verses as I did a lot of that yesterday or the day before. My point is that Jesus himself wants us to be wise and refer to Daniel’s prophecy of 70 weeks which is now seemingly unlocked near the end of times just a year or so before the 70th week begins!
And again how do we come to the conclusion of the 70th week? How is this computed? Well I propose the middle of the Fall Season is when the decree went out in 457 BC – 28th November to be exact for sake of illustration.
We go back to the 483 years (69 weeks) and the Messiah will be “cut off” or crucified. We already determined Jesus crucifixion date of April 28, 28 A.D.
First, we backtest the 69 weeks of 7 years (483 years) from Artaxerxes decree of 28 Nov 457 BC and test to see if that aligns with when Jesus was crucified. Again, we should not expect this date to be “exact”, only within the 483rd year which it is.
So yes it is 483 years to when Jesus was crucified. So what happened to the last week or the 70th week? Why hasn’t the Messiah come back? Simple, the reason is unbelief of the Jews to accept Jesus as the Messiah. So God added time to the prophecy and restarted the clock from Artaxerxes decree. This is just like when he added time and made them wander the desert for 40 years after their unbelief and mistrust in God.
We have other passages in the bible that the last week, the 70th, was going to be a prophetic period of years which is 7 x 360 prophetic days = 2520 days.
God added time to Daniel’s prophecy because the Jews rejected Jesus. So instead of the last week having 2520 days, God turned the last week into a prophetic 2520 years. Now this prophetic timespan of 2520 years does not use 365.25 as a multiplier for the days, it uses 360.
So 2520 years x 360 prophetic days = 907,200 days from the day the decree went out in November 28, 457 BC to the day Jesus establishes his 1000 year kingdom. Now this date is NOT the second coming of Christ (coming in the clouds for the Rapture). It instead is referring to his coming down on a white horse and making final war on Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet and finishing God’s wrath on earth (which the saved are spared from). That very day of their defeat he establishes his 1000 year iron rod rule on earth and thus fulfills all of the biblical prophecies taht predicted his coming Kingdom.
Thus you can see that if God “reset the clock” of Daniel’s 70th scheduled week – which never happened because of the Jews unbelief in Jesus – and extended it from 2520 days to 2520 years, this date of 21 September 2028 actually points to the Battle of Armageddon which is the very day Jesus defeats Satan, the Antichrist and the False Prophet and then is anointed King in his earthly kingdom.
And thus the conclusion is this: Daniel’s 70th week may still last a prophetic 2520 days which is about a month short of a regular days or is could last 2550 days, or just a “normal” 7 years as how we measure it. I am not sure, but either way its all within a few months or so. Therefore the start of the Tribulation period I have been discussing would start 7 years earlier which is 21 September 2021 this fall duh! Or the latest in late October if it is a prophetic 2520 days.
Again, we don’t know the exact date that the decree of Artaxerxes went out to rebuild Jerusalem, but we can guess the season. So all in all, the start of the tribulation/God wrath period of the final 7 years could start as early as 22 July 2021 until late November 2021. So we have to be on the lookout for “signs’. And what signs?
Well, maybe a natural disaster such as a huge earthquake indicating a war on heaven and Satan and his minions being kicked down to earth. And then we must see signs that the war against the “unvaxxed” shifts toward a war against “Christian holdouts”. Let’s watch for signs!
THE COUNTS
I mentioned 2 posts ago that since the market finished in 2009 at the very satanic 666 SPX – or the mark of the beast – perhaps it would top at 4444 or “angel sign” indicating a final all-time top. Well a kind reader Mark, (yet another bible book name), sent me the fact that today the DJIA finished UP 44.44 points!
I’m telling you, these are signs!
Count-wise we can still assume that the market is tracing out a Minute [iv] corective wave. The final corrective before the all-time peak.
